BC Major Projects Inventory: status and a current list

B.C.’s Major Projects Inventory (MPI) is no longer published. Its last edition covers the quarter to September 30, 2025. Below are the 27 largest B.C. projects we track, with owner, published value and stage, checked against owner, regulator and procurement sources as of November 2, 2026.

What happened to the Major Projects Inventory

  • For 22 years the MPI listed every B.C. project worth $15 million or more, updated each quarter (ICBA).
  • The last edition is Quarter 3, September 30, 2025, as a PDF and an Excel file. The Legislative Library of British Columbia keeps the past editions; the old gov.bc.ca MPI page now redirects there (checked October 24, 2026).
  • On September 18, 2026 the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association reported that the Ministry of Jobs and Economic Growth had confirmed there will be no more reports, including Q4 2025. ICBA has asked the minister to reverse the decision.
  • ICBA’s Construction Monitor put the inventory at $385 billion, with $176 billion under construction.
