Major projects in B.C. in 2026: LNG, transit, power and mining

The largest industrial and infrastructure projects under way or approaching a decision in British Columbia in 2026, with owner, status, next milestone and disclosed cost, each from the owner or a government source.

B.C.’s 2026 build is led by north-coast LNG and the power to run it, with a transit build in Metro Vancouver and new mine power in the northwest. The pattern is the same across sectors. Large owners are splitting work into several packages instead of one mega-contract: TI Corp on the Surrey Langley SkyTrain, the Province on the Fraser River Tunnel, and BC Hydro’s early contractor involvement on the North Coast Transmission Line. That gives B.C. contractors and suppliers more places to bid in.
